The Eastern Phoebes formed in June, 2025 after meeting at the Passim School of Music. Inspired by the tight harmonies and creative arrangements of groups like I'm With Her and The Wailin' Jennys, they set off to create a trio of their own. They quickly realized they were in luck - between the three of them, they had a variety of vocal ranges and instruments, creating rich sonic textures and enabling them to cover a variety of styles. They now perform in the Greater Boston area with repertoire spanning folk, Americana, jazz and more. The Eastern Phoebes are: Jen (mezzo soprano, fiddle, harmonica) Zoe (soprano, guitar, melodica) and Lily (alto, guitar, banjo.)
